Call Out: Exhibition Assistant

We are seeking an Exhibition Assistant to support the delivery of a new installation as part of the Inquest Artist Residency Unjust Deaths Programme.

The installation transforms data on deaths in and following state contact into a living memorial and demand for justice.

The Exhibition Assistant will work closely with the lead artist Sînziana Cojocărescu to:

  • Find practical and creative solutions to exhibiting the installation

  • Support the physical installation of the work. This may include builds.

  • Ensure the space remains respectful, safe, and accessible for all audiences.

  • Liaise with the artist and venue staff on any technical or practical needs.

Person Specification

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Organised, reliable, and attentive to detail.

  • Comfortable working with sensitive subject matter, including grief, justice, and state violence.

  • Confident in engaging with members of the public in a thoughtful, empathetic manner.

  • Interested in socially engaged art, memorial practices, or community work.

Dates: 3 days between Dec 1st and Dec 11th.

Location: London

Hours TBC

Fee: £200/day
