In April - May 2017 we led a climate change awareness workshop at the Benjamin Franklin highschool in Bucharest as a precursor a co-production between BÉZNĂ Theatre and Centrul de Teatru Educational Replika, VINOVAT,-Ă, which premiered in March 2018.

Together with a group of 15 year olds we explored the main causes of climate change, delved into the idea of communal responsibility for the impending disasters and painted a clear picture of what the world will look like once global warming reaches 2, 3, 4 and 5 °C respectively. We found out that the first to be hit by the coming natural disasters, poverty and famine will be the most vulnerable in our society, those who have contributed least to the human-caused changes in the climate and that the future climate refugees will become the new scapegoats for governments and corporations looking to eschew responsibility.
